Ugly Beautiful

Ugly Beautiful interview 25th oct 2010
Ugly Beautiful from Cork have been on the go since 2007. They have just released their debut single 100-1 to critical acclaim. Their debut album Paradise has been well received since its release – Cormac Battle of 2fm describes the opening track Weekend as “Brilliant!”. This album soars at high volumes and demands multiple listens – drawing you into layers of texture and sound. It has received both local and national airplay as well as television airplay. The diversity of heavy and ambient sounds comes from a broad range of influences, from Sigur Ros to the Queens of the Stone Age.

John Joyce

John Joyce interview 18th Oct 2010

John, who from time to time plays in nearby Cloyne where his brother Philip lives, bears an uncanny resemblance to his famous ancestor James Joyce.

Louise first started singing in her local choir and from there went on to sing in local venues at party nights. A few short years ago she decided to move to Scotland and her love of singing continued,
